Gas Mains Replacement in Heighington Village
The Parish Council received the following letter from Jade Dunn ( Customer Care Officer (Wear) Northern Gas Networks )
Good morning,
I am writing to you today to make you aware, we are due to start works in the Heighington area. The project which is due to start week commencing Monday 13thApril, and is scheduled to last approximately 20 weeks in its entirety. We plan on replacing the ageing metal gas pipes with durable plastic pipes in this area, which will ensure the continued, safe and reliable supply of gas for years to come.

We will begin the works on Heighington Lane for the first 12 weeks and then should be in the village by mid July. A press release will be going out and all residents and businesses in the area will be informed of how they will be impacted by this work.
As you can see I have also attached the traffic management plans for the work within the village which will also be explained to residents.
