Rights of Way Improvement Plan - Community & Stakeholder Engagement
Every ten years, the Council needs to update the Rights of Way Improvement Plan (ROWIP) that looks at how public rights of way will be managed in the coming years. As part of this update, the council is seeking the views of stakeholders and the public to help inform the plan, therefore an online questionnaire has been developed that you are invited to complete. The consultation is open to all stakeholders and members of the public. The consultation can be found on the Council’s website, is open now and will run until Monday 1st June at 23:59. It can be accessed by following this link:https://www.darlington.gov.uk/consultations/
Once the consultation closes, results will be analysed and used to inform the first draft of the plan. The draft plan will then be published in due course with a further opportunity to respond about public rights of way. At this stage, you will be contacted again with details of how to comment.
Public rights of way need to be fit for purpose and accommodate the needs of users and a Council Plan priority is to create a well connected, clean and sustainable borough. Identifying priorities in the Rights of Way Improvement Plan will help achieve that.
Thanks you in anticipation of a response, should you require any further information or would like an alternative format questionnaire please contactjoanne.roberts@darlington.gov.uk or telephone 01325 403187 and arrangements will be made for a hard copy questionnaire to be provided.
