What a year it has been for Heighington FC Youth!
As we look back on the past twelve months, the air at the club is thick with pride our players have shown incredible growth, resilience, and—most importantly—a genuine love for the game.
Our grassroots community is more vibrant than ever. However, our success has brought a bittersweet challenge: we are growing faster than we can keep up with.
The Heart of the Club: We Need You!
We currently have a significant number of children eager to lace up their boots and start competitive football with Heighington FC Youth. They have the talent and the drive, but they are missing one vital ingredient: a coach.
At the heart of our club is the belief that the best teams are built from the ground up, and that foundation starts with our volunteers. We are reaching out to our most passionate supporters—the parents, guardians and residents of Heighington Village—to ask you to bring that energy and commitment from the sidelines onto the pitch.
No Experience? No Problem.
A common misconception is that you need to be a tactical mastermind or a former pro to coach youth football. In reality, the most successful coaches are those who bring:
Enthusiasm: A positive attitude is infectious.
Reliability: Being there for the kids week-in and week-out builds trust.
Heart: A genuine desire to make a difference in a young person’s life.

How We Support Our Coaches
Stepping into a coaching role can feel daunting, but you won't be doing it alone. Heighington FC Youth is committed to your development just as much as our players'. We provide:
Full Access to Training: We will help you through your coaching badges and certificates.
Mentorship: You’ll be paired with experienced members of the club to guide you through your first month's.
