Heighington Primary’s Friends of School seek tombola prizes to raise funds for pupils

We are looking for tombola prizes and fancy dress costumes ahead of Sports Day 

This year during Sports Day Friends of school will not only be selling refreshments but also hosting a tombola and host a fancy dress shop to raise money for the school and the pupils. 

The stand will be manned from infants sports day all the way through 4 PM so everyone will have a chance to participate in the tombola or nosy through the fancy dress shop should they wish. 

In order to run the tombola we are looking for some fabulous prizes*. Donations are welcome from 1st of June and can be taken to the school office. Additionally, we are looking for fancy dress costumes in all sizes in good condition for the shop.

*prizes we are looking for: bottles, toiletries i.e bath/ shower sets (unopened), toys and gifts in new or nearly new condition.

About Friends of School

Friends of School is a charity run by parent volunteers with the aim to raise funds for Heighington Primary School. Our fundraising efforts consist of activities such as Bake A Cake Day, non-school uniform days, school discos, organising the school Christmas cards and tea towels as well as the raffles. Through our efforts we’ve been able to fund the ‘Forget Me Not Book Nook’ in the school grounds, activity pots for all classes to be able to organise extracurricular activities and we are able to fund materials for those subjects taught at the school that receive less government funding than others. Our aim is for our efforts to benefit all students. 

We hope to continue to be able to provide the teachers with these extra pots and would like to start raising funds towards new play equipment.
